Cone biopsy
It is a surgical procedure in which a tissue is removed from the cervix due to a precancerous lesion. Therefore, it is a preventive treatment of uterine cancer and in some uncommon cases, it can discard a very incipient cancer.
Is the procedure painful?
The cone biopsy is painless. It is the most widely used technique because it is minimally invasive and it is performed on an outpatient basis.
