Hysteroscopy
It is a visual examination of the cervix and internal part of the uterus, which is performed using a thin and lighted tube called a hysteroscope. This tool makes easier the access to the cervix and uterus, in this way, their lining can be monitored, as well as possible pathologies that can be altering the cervix.
When is it performed?
- Intrauterine adhesions.
- Endometrial polyps.
- Fibroids.
- Remove IUDs (Intrauterine devices).
- Menstrual cycle alterations.
- Before starting high complexity treatments for fertility as in-vitro fertilization.
- Repeated miscarriages.
