How is it detected?

For women, a medical history, tests in the uterus, or an ultrasound is performed.

For men, the quality of their sperm is studied in a semen analysis, this one measures their quantity and movement.

What are the causes of infertility?

There are numerous reasons why a woman can be infertile. The main one is usually related to the ovules, either because they are not produced correctly or that present problems when impregnate, such as not adhering to the uterine walls, not surviving if it adheres or due to mobility problems.

On the other hand, male infertility is determined by problems in the sperm, which can also be due to various causes such as: congenital defects, cancer treatments, hormonal imbalance, impotence, obesity, old age, or smoking, alcohol and drugs.
